Hello there.
First and foremost, I wanted to say thank you for all of you that were so positive regarding my most recent blog post about ‘Project use it up’. It was lovely to see so much support, I truly am grateful. I decided to create a tag for Instagram so that anyone who wants to join in with me can check in every month, the tag is #UseItWithLottie. I look forward to seeing more of us come together to reduce the clutter!
Moving on, I wanted to make one final blog post before the New Year rolls in, I managed to get tickets for the NYE fireworks in London so I really need to hurry up, I just wanted to share another little step I have taken in reducing the clutter. I know it’s not ground breaking, or revolutionary, but the other day for every email that pinged into my phone email box, I unsubscribed from the source. I looked phone a few days ago and I had 700+ emails. This is ridiculous. It is important to note that 85% of these emails were unnecessary and were simply just draining my time and energy. It was laborious having to sit through and delete pointless emails which were encourage me to ‘Try this’ or ‘Buy that’. To rid of this mind numbingly painful activity, I unsubscribed from pretty much all of them, and wow, I feel lighter already!
I realise this unsubscribing process is going to take a while, I did wake up this morning to see a few pointless emails sitting there but that’s ok, I can do this process gradually, that’s what this journey is all about! Today I’m also going to try and extend this progress further, I will delete the many apps which I do not use and sort the existing ones into appropriate categories later this afternoon, although not a huge task, I’m sue it will help me feel increasingly positive about the New Year and this journey I am embarking on.
Where ever in the world you are at the moment, thank you for taking the time to read my little blog, I’ve found so much happiness since starting it this year. Wishing you all a fantastic new year, I hope 2017 will bring you much happiness. What are your new year plans this evening? Comment below, I’d be interested to know.
With love, Lottie.
