Another day of Lent, another Bible study…
Scripture: ”If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.” James 1:5
Observation: God will give us the strength and wisdom so long as we draw upon him in need of support. God is generous and he imparts his knowledge upon us. God wants us to be wise and he will help us to be so.
Application: There are many times when I find myself worried or afraid that I’m not clever or smart enough, therefore looking silly. I need to come to appreciate that God will grant me wisdom so long as I openly ask him to impart it upon me. God is all loving and caring, he grants ultimate peace. There are times when my mind is racing x1000 miles an hour, however when unsure or stuck, I know that I can ask the Lord for help and his wisdom. In doing so I hope he will grant me wisdom and will grant me power to achieve whatever it is I set out to do / have the power to gain knowledge and strength.
Kneeling in Prayer: Lord, when I feel foolish or when I’m not sure what I should be doing, help me to remember that you will always grant us wisdom as long as we openly ask for it. May you grant us the necessary wisdom but also help us to share our wisdom and knowledge with others in a kind respectful way. In your name we pray, amen.
