Hello there.
Happy Sunday everyone, I hope you like the Bible verse for today!
Scripture: ”What sorrow for those who drag their sins behind them with ropes made of lies, who drag wickedness behind them like a cart.” Isaiah 5:18
Observation: As stated in my previous bible study posts, we all imperfect and have flaws, therefore we all have sin. Sometimes, we carry our sin around with us, we might find it hard to let go of it, therefore it ways us down and makes us feel sad. However, there is no need to do so. Lent is an important time as it reminds us of the ultimate sacrifice that God / Jesus made, that he gave his only son so that our sins would be no more.
Application: During Lent I need to let go of my sin and pray to God for forgiveness. There is no point dwelling on past mistakes and wrong doings, instead I need to learn to repent and ask God to guide me in leading a life which serves him and carries out his hopes for living a godly life.
Kneeling in Prayer: Dear Lord, forgive us for our wrong doings when we make mistakes or sin. We are not perfect so help prevent us from living sinful lives, help deliver us from evil. May you guide us in living a godly life, help us to go forth through rejoicing in truth and actively carrying out your purpose and most importantly, following the golden rule; loving and treating others the way in which we wish to be treated. In your name we pray, amen.
